CITY GOLF PHOTOS

Here are some images of the golf club bar area where we would display our work

Food for thought

Food for thought - our exhibition will go forward .

from the 17th march until the 20th march at City Golf

After much confusion and thought the show will feature prints from the collaboration High Pitch, focusing on golf themes and sayings. Weve decided its going to be alot of hassel collecting pieces from different artists within a 2 week period.

The club has been really good for there help and collaboration. searching out picture frames is causing a bit of havoc, we may have to just go out and buy some. (if anyone knows anywhere for frames on a budget..please get in touch)

seems that joe&jimmy liked our screen prints, considering it was the first print EVER for both of us. so going to take on the task of producing a3 prints of our work. both taking on the tasks of prints each, holing a sellable quality to put in the club.

Lucy - screen printed sketches of speacial moments in golfing history
Katy - screen printed illistrative pieces of a "Play on Words" theory.

indeed

going to be GREAT

FEEDBACK FROM JOE & JIMMY - MON 2ND MARCH

We got positive feedback from Joe&Jimmy and they seemed interested in our idea of setting up an auction of students work. They want to do the auction before the end of the term. We still have quite a lot of work to do - points we need to address are:
  • need to research into where we would do the auction - main possible idea is to have it at the golf club where I work because there are a lot of wealthy people who come in and out every day who I think would be interested in buying new, upcoming art.
  • how to auction - either have a silent auction where we exhibit the work for about a week and people bid anonymously throughout the week, or we have a proper theatrical auction where we can still exhibit the work first for a week and then at the end of the week we hold an auction event and people bid for it then.
  • idea of public auction - could get together people's work and try to auction it off in public spaces like stations, trains, parks etc using someone with great selling skills and personality to perform as auctioneer
  • promotion - need to get a theme or a brand idea/name of auction and create posters to advertise the auction

PRINT CLUB

This is something that we could do - getting people to send us their work so we can try and sell it.
Like the idea of 35 pieces of work for £35 - need to give a theme to our auction
